Preventing Loop Cascades in Collaborative Multi-Agent Systems
In multi-agent architectures, agents interact by passing messages or executing tools triggered by other agents. For example, a Scheduling Agent creates a task, a Diagnostic Agent executes it and reports an error, and a Reviewer Agent reads the error and asks the Scheduling Agent to try again. If not carefully monitored, the agents can enter an infinite loop of messages, draining API credits rapidly.
How do you detect, log, and terminate loop cascades in multi-agent environments?
